Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager I to own the project quality program. You will maintain the inspection and test plan, schedule and witness field and laboratory tests, and prepare the daily QC report.

With experience in materials testing and appropriate certifications, you will manage nonconformance reports, coordinate with the superintendent and engineer of record, and keep audit-ready files. Travel to site projects may be required as assigned.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction materials testing, special inspection, or contractor QC.
• At least one: ACI Grade I, NICET Level II, ICC special inspector, or USACE CQM-C certificate (sponsored if needed).
• Able to read specifications and drawings and translate into a test schedule.
• Direct, organized, and able to assert when tests do not pass.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the project inspection and test plan (ITP) and the testing frequency log against specifications.
• Schedule and witness field and laboratory tests; verify technician certifications.
• Write the daily quality control report and three-phase meeting records.
• Open, track, and close nonconformance reports with the superintendent and engineer of record.
• Keep submittal, mix design, and material certification files audit-ready.
