Job summary

Western Partitions, Inc. (WPI) is seeking a Project Engineer to assist the Project Manager with setup, management, and closeout of projects at our Sparks, NV office or jobsite.

This on-site role requires attention to safety, strong communication, and the ability to work with subcontractors and internal teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to work in a team and serve customers.
• Ability to multitask, think critically and solve problems.
• Willingness to learn new skills and work independently with initiative.
• Must read/write/speak English and communicate with coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Understand and comply with company safety policies and procedures.
• Assist with buyout and procurement of materials, subcontractors, and engineering quotes.
• Prepare RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings.
• Support job sites and participate in meetings as required.
• Price change requests and update the budget promptly.
• Prepare, review, and report weekly productions and job cost.
• Prepare billings and approve invoices for payment.
• Track progress and spending to ensure on-time, within-budget completion.
• Coordinate warranties, O&M’s, and project closeout.
