Job summary

Turner & Townsend Heery is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead large-scale government project construction on-site in Secaucus, NJ. The ideal candidate will drive activities with limited supervision, interface with clients and consultants, and manage budgets, schedules, governance and quality.

The role requires 5–10+ years of on-site construction experience and a strong PM background in commercial real estate, with PMP and professional memberships highly preferred.

Qualifications

• College degree in Construction Management or related field; PMP certification or equivalent.
• PMP certification or equivalent related experience.
• Membership in relevant professional organizations.
• 5–10+ years of on-site construction experience (non-residential).
• Experience as a Project Manager on commercial real estate projects.
• Excellent interpersonal and client-facing communication skills.
• Ability to manage stakeholders and work streams.

Responsibilities

• Interface with the client and consultants at all project stages.
• Financial management: budgeting, invoicing, and financial monitoring.
• Project planning with detailed project plans.
• Monitor performance and apply change control processes.
• Managing change control and project information flow.
• Prepare budget progress reports and quality documentation.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and governance.
