Job summary

James G. Davis Construction Corp. is seeking an on-site Superintendent to lead field operations, coordinate with clients and design teams, and ensure work is completed on time and within budget.

The role includes managing junior staff, foremen, and trade partners while upholding safety and quality standards. Responsibilities cover scheduling, risk mitigation, and enforcing company policies, with a focus on client satisfaction and strong site execution.

Qualifications

• Nine years of construction operations experience or a B.S. in Construction Management with five years of supervisory construction experience.
• CPR/First Aid and OSHA 30-hour certifications.
• Proficiency with scheduling software, spreadsheet applications, PM software, and virtual construction software.
• Knowledge of sustainable construction (e.g., LEED).
• Ability to lead a team and drive projects to successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead field meetings and align goals across internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and manage project schedules and look-aheads with trade partners.
• Implement quality control processes and proactively manage risks.
• Enforce EHS policies and safety inspections across sites.
• Maintain project documentation (RFIs, daily reports, drawings, quality forms).
• Build positive relationships with owners, vendors, architects, engineers, and consultants.
