Job summary

Actalent seeks a Construction Site Superintendent to lead day-to-day field operations in the Capital Region. You will coordinate subcontractors, ensure quality, maintain schedules, and serve as the on-site liaison with clients and inspectors.

Strong trades knowledge and hands-on leadership are essential. Role requires managing 34-week look-ahead schedules, using Procore for daily reporting, and upholding OSHA safety standards across multiple commercial projects in Troy, NY.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction experience, preferably in commercial and industrial projects.
• Demonstrated experience as a superintendent or in a similar field leadership role on commercial construction projects.
• Experience with design-build and diverse project types (multi-family, hospitality, manufacturing).
• Procore experience is required for daily reporting and coordination.
• Proven ability to coordinate and manage subcontractors, including scheduling and performance management.
• Strong understanding of skilled trades and their interaction on a project.
• Ability to develop and maintain 34-week look-ahead schedules and align activities with milestones.
• Strong written and verbal communication with teams, subs, and clients.
• Commitment to safety with OSHA standards and a safety-first mindset.
• Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and extended hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations on active construction sites, ensuring work progresses safely and per plans.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors on site, including scheduling and clarifications.
• Maintain strong on-site presence, monitor progress, and resolve issues to keep projects on track.
• Oversee quality control and direct corrections to meet standards.
• Create and update 34-week look-ahead schedules.
• Run on-site project meetings with subs and project teams.
• Provide progress, risk, and resource updates to PMs.
• Prepare daily Procore reports documenting work and conditions.
• Enforce safety policies and OSHA standards on site.
• Act as on-site representative for the GC to clients and inspectors.
