Job summary

Wieland Corporation seeks a Site Superintendent to lead daily field operations on Michigan construction projects, ensuring safety, schedule and quality per plans and specs. You’ll coordinate trade partners, track progress, and enforce site standards with clear on-site leadership.

Required: 5+ years as superintendent or lead foreman, strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills; Procore preferred; ability to travel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a superintendent or lead foreman in construction.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Ability to understand and use technology in the field.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and walk the jobsite daily to ensure compliance with corporate safety standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site.
• Recognize potential future problems, perform research, and propose preventative action or contingency plans with the project team.
• Collaborate with project team to develop and maintain the project schedule, including a 3-4 week look ahead, while holding trade partners accountable to meeting the schedule.
• Schedule inspections from authority having jurisdiction to ensure the project stays within the schedule.
• Prepare and maintain detailed and accurate daily reports within the current software system.
• Maintain a photo library of project progress within the current software system, per WIELAND SOP, that is easily accessible, understandable, and labeled appropriately.
• CUI Handling: responsible for safeguarding Controlled Unclassified Information per NIST SP 800-171 and company policy, including proper access controls, encryption, secure storage/transfer, logging incident reporting and audit readiness.
• Inspect work regularly to ensure compliance with plans and craftsmanship standards.
