Job summary

KingRecruitingServices is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the accounting operations for a growing commercial construction/project-based business in Stockbridge, GA. This hands-on role reports to the owner and supervises a small accounting team.

Responsibilities include month-end close, AP/AR, project cost tracking, financial reporting, cash flow forecasting, and driving process improvements with the project teams in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong QuickBooks Online experience.
• Prior experience supervising or leading accounting staff.
• Strong understanding of AP, AR, reconciliations, GL, cash flow and financial reporting.
• Construction/project accounting experience preferred.
• Highly tech-savvy; comfortable adopting new software.
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations and a three-person accounting team.
• Manage month-end close, general ledger and reconciliations.
• Oversee AP, AR, collections and customer billing.
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reporting.
• Monitor cash flow and prepare short-term cash-flow forecasts.
• Strengthen job-costing and project-accounting processes.
• Develop and maintain accounting controls.
• Support budgeting and forecasting with ownership.
• Work with project managers and coordinators.
• Identify opportunities to automate and improve processes.
• Coordinate with outside CPA and financial partners.
