Job summary

Talentify in Portland, OR is seeking an Accountant to support the Accounting Department and contribute to financial reporting, internal controls, and construction project finance. The role is on-site, Monday–Friday, 7am–4pm, in a cubicle office with a team of six in the accounting group.

The candidate should have GAAP expertise, GL reconciliations, month-end/year-end close, and experience with ERP systems (Trimble, Spectrum V14) and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Experience with balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger.
• Experience with month-end and year-end reporting.
• Knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience with AP/AR and balance sheet processes.
• ERP systems experience, especially Trimble and Spectrum V14.
• Payroll tax, sales tax, and multi-state cash posting experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare and post journal entries and monthly accruals.
• Manage fixed assets and support AP/AR and payroll functions.
• Handle payroll taxes, payroll quarterlies, and W2 processing.
• Conduct workers' compensation and liability insurance reporting.
• Provide OCIP support, including enrollment, monthly reporting, and audit support.
• Review and prepare filings for sales and use tax, and B&O tax.
• Contribute to month-end and year-end reporting processes.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned.
