Job summary

East Bay Restaurant Supply, Inc. is seeking an Installer to perform safe and accurate installation of commercial kitchen and refrigeration equipment. You will set, align, and seal components, install walk-in units, and work from drawings in field conditions.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to read blueprints. You will collaborate with other trades to meet safety and code requirements on customer sites.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in equipment installation, kitchen fit-out, refrigeration, or similar mechanical trade.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and installation manuals.
• Proficiency using common hand and power tools for cutting, drilling, fastening, and assembling metal and related materials.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical connections to coordinate with electricians and plumbers.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to code-compliant installations.

Responsibilities

• Install and set prefabricated kitchen equipment per drawings and specs.
• Assemble walk-in coolers/freezers and related components with proper seals.
• Install stainless steel sinks, tables, cabinets, and ductwork to finished walls.
• Hang and secure exhaust hoods and related equipment per safety rules.
• Measure, cut, and fit materials using hand/power tools safely and efficiently.
• Read blueprints and installation manuals to complete work with minimal supervision.
• Load, unload, and protect equipment and materials on/off job sites.
• Coordinate with project managers, foremen, and other trades on-site to resolve issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety policies.
