Job summary

The Clean Image of Simsbury is seeking an experienced Commercial Cleaning Staff Supervisor to lead cleaning teams across multiple accounts and protect the quality of every site. This hands-on manager will recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and train staff; schedule and coach teams; conduct quality-control inspections; and resolve customer concerns.

Flexibility with evenings or weekends, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel between customer locations are required.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of professional cleaning or janitorial experience; commercial cleaning experience strongly preferred.
• Looking for someone with floor/carpet/window cleaning experience.
• Prior experience supervising employees, training teams, and inspecting work for quality.
• Working knowledge of commercial cleaning procedures, chemicals, equipment, and floor care.
• Strong leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel between customer locations.
• Ability to perform cleaning duties and lift/move supplies and equipment as the job requires.
• Availability for a flexible schedule, including evenings and occasional weekends or emergency coverage.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and train cleaning employees.
• Schedule, supervise, coach, and hold team members accountable across multiple customer accounts.
• Conduct routine quality-control inspections, document findings, and correct deficiencies quickly.
• Communicate professionally with customers and resolve service concerns.
• Arrange coverage for call-outs and open shifts; personally assist with cleaning when necessary.
• Train employees on cleaning methods, floor care, equipment, chemical handling, SDS, and workplace safety.
• Monitor supplies and equipment and help maintain efficient labor and account performance.
• Maintain accurate schedules, inspection records, training records, and incident reports.
