Job summary

Modus21, LLC is hiring a Mid-level Cloud Engineer to work on-site in Charleston, SC, supporting NIWC Atlantic programs. You will deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters, build CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with software teams to modernize cloud infrastructure.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain Top Secret, hands-on experience with Docker, OpenShift, Ansible, and VMware, and a focus on security and reliability in complex environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience supporting cloud infrastructure, systems engineering, DevOps, or related environments.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Strong experience with Docker and containerization technologies.
• Experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Ansible.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications across cloud and hybrid environments.
• Develop and maintain Docker/container images, container registries, and deployment processes.
• Operate OpenShift clusters and container workloads across bare-metal, virtualized, and cloud environments.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting automated builds, testing, security scanning, and deployment.
• Support DevSecOps by integrating cybersecurity controls into pipelines and deployments.
• Develop technical documentation and deployment procedures.
• Collaborate with software teams to improve scalability and cloud readiness.
• Provide recommendations on cloud architecture and modernization efforts.
