Amperesand in San Francisco seeks a Software Engineer-DevOps to support daily cloud deployment operations across AWS. You’ll gain hands-on experience with infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, containerized workloads, and cloud monitoring in a fast startup environment.

Ideal candidates have cloud platform experience (AWS, GCP, Azure) and a hands-on approach to infrastructure engineering, with on-site work five days a week.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of experience in cloud operations or infrastructure engineering.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts and Git.
• Comfortable with Linux command line and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret application logs and monitoring data.
• Strong communication and ability to document processes clearly.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Deployment & Maintenance: Execute and monitor Terragrunt/Terraform deployments across AWS environments.
• CI/CD Pipeline Support: Debug and maintain GitHub Actions workflows and manage artifacts.
• Cloud Operations: Day-to-day AWS resource management and monitoring.
• Service Operations: Support production services and runbooks.
• Documentation & Automation: Maintain runbooks and automate repetitive tasks.
• Incident Response: Participate in on-call rotations and document learnings.
