Job summary

Amperesand is hiring a Software Engineer-DevOps to support daily cloud deployment operations across AWS. You will work with infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized workloads in a fast-paced startup environment.

The role emphasizes on-site collaboration in Reno, with exposure to Terragrunt/Terraform, GitHub Actions, and monitoring systems. Applicants should have 1–3 years in cloud ops and a willingness to learn rapidly.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of experience in cloud operations, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering, AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts and version control with Git.
• Comfortable with Linux command line and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and understand application logs and monitoring data.

Responsibilities

• Execute and monitor Terragrunt/Terraform deployments across development and production AWS environments.
• Troubleshoot deployment failures and coordinate rollbacks.
• Debug and maintain GitHub Actions workflows; manage artifacts in S3/ECR.
• Monitor day-to-day AWS resources (EC2, RDS, VPC) and respond to alerts.
• Maintain runbooks and automate repetitive tasks.
