Job summary

Office Pride Commercial Cleaning Services in the United States seeks a Team Leader who cleans buildings and leads other cleaners. You’ll train staff, solve on-site issues and ensure buildings meet company standards, submitting daily reports to the office to maintain safety and quality.

You will oversee nightly cleaning, check equipment, and manage uniforms, safety procedures, and building security. This role requires reliability, teamwork and strong communication.

• Must communicate in English.

• Must be able to handle change in a fast-paced environment.
• Must communicate well with employees, clients, and leadership.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must care about quality and pay attention to detail.
• Must be able to lift 35 pounds.
• Must be physically able to stand, bend, kneel, reach, push, and pull for a full shift.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must have a clean driving record and be insurable, as this position may require driving a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nightly cleaning of assigned buildings.
• Step in and help clean when needed.
• Check that equipment works and supplies are stocked.
• Report supply shortages or broken equipment.
• Train new employees on cleaning tasks.
• Train employees on alarm systems (arming and disarming buildings).
• Train employees on the timekeeping system.
• Provide re-training if performance drops.
• Cross-train team members so they can cover other buildings when needed.
• Submit a daily report to the office covering employee issues, supply shortages, alarm problems, and customer concerns.
• Follow up on customer complaints with the office.
• Report safety issues immediately.
• Keep and submit mileage logs on time.
• Regular communication with your supervisor regarding employee performance.
• Make sure employees follow company policies.
• Make sure proper uniforms are worn.
• Enforce safety and security procedures at all times.
• Maintain building security while on-site.
