Job summary

Planate Management Group seeks a skilled Civil Engineer to serve as the Special Inspector of Record at Naval Support Facility Indian Head, MD. In this on-site role, you will conduct inspections ensuring compliance with design specifications, industry standards, and applicable codes.

The ideal candidate should be a Registered Professional Engineer with at least five years of construction inspection experience, capable of working independently and managing multiple responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of related experience in construction inspection and structural engineering.
• Knowledge of steel, concrete, masonry, and foundation construction practices.
• Experience with nondestructive testing and verification of load-bearing requirements.

• Serve as the Special Inspector of Record for assigned projects.
• Conduct on-site inspections of structural systems and materials.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting observations and findings.
• Collaborate with contractors and project teams to resolve non-compliance issues.
