Confidential Employer is seeking an experienced civil litigation attorney for an on-site role in Culpeper, Virginia. You will manage matters from strategy through resolution, draft pleadings, and engage in depositions and hearings.

Active Virginia bar license and 3+ years of civil litigation experience required; this is a full-time, in-person position with a collaborative team, offering opportunities to build client relationships and grow your practice.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia bar license in good standing.
• 3+ years of civil litigation experience.
• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Ability to independently manage litigation matters and deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and client-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil litigation matters from initial strategy through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, responses, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct and defend depositions; participate in hearings and negotiations.
• Develop case strategy, evaluate risk, and provide practical legal guidance to clients.
• Conduct legal research and produce clear, persuasive written work.
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, courts and other parties.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff while maintaining ownership of assigned matters.
• Negotiate settlements and help move cases toward favorable resolutions.
