Job summary

Confidential Employer in Richmond, VA is seeking a licensed attorney to manage civil litigation matters from evaluation to trial. The role offers a hybrid schedule with Mondays remote and in-office collaboration Tuesday–Friday.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of civil litigation, circuit court trial experience, and strong legal writing, research, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills. DC/MD bar is a plus and professional growth is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia bar license is required.
• 2+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Virginia circuit court trial experience required.
• Strong legal writing, research, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills.
• Experience in commercial, contract, or real estate litigation is preferred.
• DC or Maryland bar admission is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil litigation matters from initial case evaluation through resolution or trial.
• Develop case strategies, draft pleadings and motions, and manage discovery.
• Represent clients in negotiations, hearings, depositions, and Virginia circuit court proceedings.
• Build strong client relationships through clear communication and thoughtful legal guidance.
• Collaborate with experienced attorneys and dedicated support staff to achieve successful outcomes.
• Take ownership of your caseload while benefiting from a collaborative, well-supported practice.
