Job summary

Kimley-Horn in Irvine, CA is seeking engineering graduates to join our team in 2027. This is not a remote position and you will contribute to multiple civil project efforts from concept through analysis.

You will use AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, GIS and related tools while learning regulations, supporting project managers, and collaborating across disciplines to deliver client visions for the built environment.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree expected by Summer 2027.
• Majors include Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Electrical, Biosystems, Chemical, Biological, Agricultural Engineering; Engineering Technology.

Responsibilities

• Utilize technical software to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients.
• Contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, permitting, and analysis.
• Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines.
• Develop familiarity with regulations and company practices.
• Learn software programs such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and GIS.
