Job summary

Amentum is seeking an on-site civil engineer to serve as the technical lead for civil, structural, and architectural designs at Watervliet Arsenal. The role involves preparing drawings, specifications, and design analyses for major and minor projects, including facilities, roads, and utilities, with emphasis on compliance with Government standards.

You will collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers, review submittals, conduct field inspections, and develop cost estimates and change

Qualifications

• Experience with civil, structural, and architectural design, analysis, and drawings.
• Ability to develop plans and specifications for construction projects.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local codes and regulations.
• Ability to determine adequacy of contractor data and ensure safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform design and engineering on large Civil Works projects with unique requirements.
• Define, plan, and organize resources to achieve project objectives.
• Design complete projects including components for structural installations and support systems.
• Develop design analyses and ensure compliance with government standards.
• Prepare plans for in-house and contract projects for new facilities and renovations.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to provide guidance and data.
