Job summary

Voyager Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Chemical Engineer to support establishing a new chemical manufacturing facility. You will specify, procure, design, build, test, and commission chemical process equipment, reporting to the Chief Engineer as part of the Chemicals and Explosives Team.

The role is on-site in Penrose, CO, with a move to Pueblo, CO anticipated within the next year. Responsibilities include translating lab data, procuring equipment, and developing first-principles solutions with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or related discipline or 4+ years of chemical engineering experience
• Experience taking a process through design, testing, iteration, and scale-up
• Experience executing a project on schedule, within budget, and to required quality standards
• Working knowledge of mass and energy balances, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics
• Working knowledge of common unit operations employed in chemical manufacturing
• Ability to communicate effectively through written, verbal, and presentation channels to non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

• Translating lab data into process requirements and equipment specifications
• Procuring existing industrial equipment where it meets cost, schedule, and performance requirements
• Developing and building first-principles solutions with the technician team
• Testing, refining, and commissioning equipment to bring systems into operation
• Contributing to the safe development and operation of equipment
• Identifying, communicating, and tracking engineering risks and mitigations
