Job summary

Verano is seeking an on-site Security Specialist to ensure the safety of staff, patients, and property at our Highland Park location. You will monitor security cameras, verify patient IDs, and respond quickly to incidents while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include patrols, cash protection, customer service, and supporting leadership with audits and data uploads to ensure preparedness for location audits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–2 years of security/protection experience required.
• Nightclub, bar, jewelry store or event protection experience preferred.
• Must be 21+ and pass a background check and state badge requirements.
• Learn and understand state cannabis industry rules and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Regularly interact with employees and patients to maintain a safe environment.
• Check and verify all patient IDs prior to admitting them to the dispensary floor.
• Monitor cash pickups and security video systems.
• Provide exemplary customer service to patients and staff.
• Carry out patrols, lockup/unlock duties, and assist in product delivery as needed.
• Support leadership with audits and compliance tasks for location readiness.
