Job summary

University of Central Florida is seeking a Plumber I to support the Facilities Operations Maintenance Team One on the main campus. You will perform preventive and corrective plumbing work, install and maintain components for water, gas, air, and sewer systems, and respond to service requests to keep campus facilities safe and functional.

The role requires an approved plumbing apprenticeship or equivalent experience, with on-site work, a 3:00 PM-1:30 AM schedule, and accompanying shift benefits.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved apprenticeship program in plumbing.
• High school diploma with two years of relevant experience.
• Familiarity with plumbing tools, equipment, materials and task sequencing.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance on plumbing systems.
• Carry out corrective repairs to restore functionality.
• Install, maintain, test, and calibrate plumbing components in facilities.
• Operate pumps, valves, heaters, and water/sewer systems.
• Complete work orders and record labor hours and notes.
