Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Food Service Operations Director for a hands-on leadership role at a high-volume summer camp operation. You will oversee daily culinary and service operations, staffing, budgeting, and allergen safety on-site.

This on-site, live-in role runs May–Sept in a fast-paced environment, requiring 6-day/70-hour weeks and seamless coordination with camp leadership and Wolfoods corporate.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Manager Certified (Allergens required before start date; company-sponsored).
• Strong leadership, budgeting capability, and sharp problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, work in hot/cold kitchen settings, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ready to live on-site in a rustic setting, and work a demanding 6-day/70-hour week.

Responsibilities

• Operations & Leadership: Lead, schedule, and train FOH and kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Culinary & Quality Excellence: Oversee operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking, and meal service.
• Allergen & Safety Compliance: Manage food allergy protocols and health department sanitation standards.
• Administration & Budget: Manage inventory, place orders, control budgets, and track daily reporting.
• Client Relations: Serve as the liaison between kitchen operations, campers, camp leadership and Wolfoods corporate office.
