Job summary

Miss Porter’s School seeks a Daisy Days Supervisor to lead a girls' summer camp, ensuring joyful, inclusive programming and safe operations. This on-site role requires coordinating with the Director of Summer Programs, supervising staff, planning activities, and managing daily camp logistics.

The ideal candidate is organized, mission-driven, and thrives in fast-paced environments, providing strong leadership and clear communication while upholding health and safety standards across all camp

Qualifications

• Experience working with elementary school students, preferably in an all-girls environment.
• Experience in summer camps or after-school programs with leadership and oversight.
• Supervisory experience in training, managing, and evaluating staff.
• Strong leadership, team-building, conflict resolution and communication skills.
• Reliable organization: scheduling, budgets, resources and logistics.
• Commitment to camper safety, well-being, positive youth development.
• Familiarity with CT Youth Camps protocols, or willingness to learn.
• CPR certification, Emergency Med and Epi-Pen training, medication administration by start.
• Attends mandatory spring staff training; proof of physical.

Responsibilities

• Lead Daisy Days camp operations and ensure safety and inclusivity.
• Coordinate logistics with Director of Summer Programs and campus partners.
• Supervise Daisy Days Assistant Supervisor, Activity Specialists, and counselors.
• Lead staff meetings and ensure clear communication.
• Oversee field trips, dining services coordination, and budget focus.
• Serve as Administrator on Duty during camp emergencies.
• Engage families with warm, consistent communication.
• Support camper care plans and track program outcomes.
