Job summary

ONEX is seeking a CAD Designer to work on site in Erie, PA. The role focuses on creating detailed 2D/3D drawings for fabrication and assembly using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD, collaborating with engineers, designers, and project managers.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certification in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Architecture, or related field.
• Proficient in Autodesk Inventor software or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good understanding of design and construction principles.
• Ability to interpret technical documents, blueprints, and schematics.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in drafting, preferably in industrial applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings using Autodesk Inventor software and AutoCAD.
• Review rough sketches, specifications, and design notes to produce final drawings.
• Revise drawings based on feedback from project and department leads.
• Maintain documentation and drawing archives according to ONEX standards.
• Ensure all drawings comply with the project contracts, P&ID’s, applicable codes, and ONEX standards.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure alignment and accuracy across projects.
• Assist in resolving design and documentation issues as needed.
• Visit project sites for meetings, project reviews, and site reviews.
