Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a CAD Designer on-site in Albuquerque, NM to support advanced engineering, scientific research, and national security technology initiatives.

You will create and maintain complex 3D models, assemblies, and technical drawings, collaborating with engineers and scientists to interpret requirements, manufacturing processes, and schedules.

Candidates should have 3+ years CAD experience, proficiency in Creo and Windchill, and the ability to obtain a DOE L Clearance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD).
• Experience with 3D modeling, large assemblies, and technical drawing creation.
• Proficiency with PTC Creo, Windchill/PDMLink, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles and manufacturing processes.
• Associate's degree in a related technical field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE L Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings from established engineering concepts and designs.
• Develop technical documentation and production drawings for complex mechanical systems and equipment.
• Collaborate closely with engineers and scientists to interpret design requirements, manufacturing processes, materials, and project schedules.
• Support large, complex assemblies consisting of hundreds to thousands of components.
• Assist with configuration management, document control, and design documentation activities.
