Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque seeks a CAD Technologist to transform concepts into detailed product definitions for national security applications.

You will create 3D models, drawings, and specifications using Creo and AutoCAD, collaborate with engineers, and ensure manufacturability and GD&T, with DOE clearance required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Mechanical Drafting, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience using CAD software for 3D solid modeling and mechanical drawing generation.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q security clearance

Responsibilities

• Innovate and Create: design and modify detailed component and system definitions.
• Bring Concepts to Life: design 3D models and drawings of complex objects and systems.
• Define Products: transform concepts into detailed specifications.
• Collaborate and Integrate: work with CAD Designers, Product Design Engineers, and R&D engineers.
