Job summary

CBRE Building Engineer is an onsite role responsible for maintaining and repairing building systems including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, and HVAC to keep facilities safe, efficient, and compliant.

The position supports preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and inspections at a large facility, with a strong emphasis on safety and energy management. Strong problem-solving and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma or equivalent experience with 4-5 years of job-related experience.
• Meet the physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting 50 lbs+.
• EPA/CFC certification preferred; CMMS experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and prior CMMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire, life safety, and control systems.
• Align with codes, regulations, and company directives related to building operations and safety.
• Maintain an energy management program to improve efficiency.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Ensure safe storage and handling of hazardous materials and maintain a clean workplace.
• Review inspections of building systems to ensure operation within design specifications.
• Mentor others and uphold CBRE RISE values.
