Job summary

Transwestern is seeking a Building Engineer for our on-site team in The Woodlands, TX. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, repairs, and monitoring of building systems to ensure optimal performance and cost efficiency.

You will inspect HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire alarm systems while coordinating with contractors on larger projects. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and at least two years in building maintenance; trade school training is a plus.

Qualifications

• Two years of related building maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical and building automation systems.
• Ability to read and follow instructions and repair manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on buildings, systems and grounds.
• Inspect building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation within design specs.
• Lead technicians or contractors on assigned projects and respond to emergencies.
• Maintain records of maintenance and repairs.
• Maintain energy management to keep operating costs down.
