Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Bridge Inspector to support the construction inspection of a three-span bridge located at an active surface mining operation in Bagdad, Arizona. This full-time on-site role requires you to be Aecom's sole on-site inspection representative, coordinating with the client, contractor and project stakeholders.

The initial assignment is August 2026 through July 2027, with potential for extension to other Arizona bridge and transportation projects.

Qualifications

BA/BS with four years of bridge, structural, or heavy civil inspection experience.
Valid driver's license with a clean MVR.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

Serve as AECOM's sole on-site construction inspection representative, acting as the primary point of contact for daily field activities.
Independently perform construction inspection for a three-span bridge project located within an active surface mining facility.
Monitor contractor operations to verify compliance with project plans, specifications, contract documents, and quality standards.
Exercise sound judgment in the field while identifying issues, documenting findings, and coordinating resolutions with project stakeholders.
Prepare comprehensive daily inspection reports, photographs, quantity documentation, and project records.
Verify materials, workmanship, and completed quantities for payment and acceptance.
