Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional bookkeeping or client accounting experience.
• Hands-on proficiency with QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop.
• Experience independently managing bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, general ledger accounts, and business financial records.
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles, financial transactions, and account reconciliation.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage deadlines.
• Professional communication skills and a commitment to excellent client service.
• Experience with multiple business clients, payroll, financial statements, or public accounting is a plus.
• CPA license is not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting activities for business clients using QuickBooks Online or Desktop.
• Independently handle bank and credit card reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and accurate financial recordkeeping.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, maintain organized records, and help clients understand their financial position.
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and routine accounting transactions.
• Assist with payroll processing, year-end accounting preparation, and related financial documentation.
• Communicate directly with clients to gather information, resolve discrepancies, and provide reliable accounting support.
• Collaborate with accountants and CPAs to ensure accurate, timely financial reporting and client deliverables.
• Identify opportunities to improve bookkeeping processes, streamline workflows, and maintain high standards of accuracy.
