Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Bioprocess Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Internship or co-op experience in manufacturing, preferably biotech, fermentation, or related industries.
• Understanding of fermentation processes and downstream processing technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration across functions.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and process accuracy.
• Demonstrated initiative and ownership in driving projects and process improvements.
• Knowledge of manufacturing, quality, safety, or continuous improvement principles.

Responsibilities

• Support and improve manufacturing operations by identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving process, safety, and efficiency issues.
• Participate in Process Safety Management (PSM) activities, including hazard analyses and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor process performance and analyze trends to optimize reliability, quality, and productivity.
• Design, execute, and evaluate experiments that improve process performance and operational effectiveness.
• Support introduction and industrialization of new products and technologies within the manufacturing facility.
• Contribute to capital investment projects as a member of the Manufacturing Technology team.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including batch records, SOPs, training materials, and process instructions.
• Evaluate process costs, material utilization, and operational efficiency to identify improvement opportunities.
