Job summary

Re:Build Manufacturing is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to be embedded with a harness plant and support Cadonix-based software at the site. You will diagnose issues in production software, manage data and integrations, and liaise with the Cadonix team for improvements.

You will build and maintain AWS scripts and tools to support operations, while collaborating with remote product and development teams. The role requires hands-on AWS experience and strong Python/TypeScript/C# skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 3-5 years' experience in software development, support or implementation.
• Understanding of production environments and shop-floor workflows.
• Experience engaging directly with customers.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying applications on AWS (e.g. Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, IAM).
• Proficient in Python, TypeScript/JavaScript or C#.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases, Windows and Linux environments, and web-based applications and APIs.
• Familiar with Git, CI/CD and infrastructure as code.

Responsibilities

• On-Site Production Support: triage, diagnose and resolve issues with the software, its configuration, data, integrations and connected shop-floor hardware, prioritizing anything that affects production output.
• Customer Engagement: collaborate with remote teams and on-site engineers, sharing workload and guidance.
• Customer Liaison & Change Requests: capture feature improvements and modification requests as clear, prioritized requirements and coordinate with Cadonix teams.
• Cloud Development & Tooling: develop and maintain AWS scripts, integrations, reports and small tools for site operations.
• Blocking Issue & Root Cause Analysis: reproduce defects, track issues, verify fixes on site and lead root-cause analysis.
• Training & Documentation: train operators and maintain site procedures and knowledge base.
