Job summary

Apexon is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer for an on-site role in Austin, TX. You will design, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines, manage deployments, and support platform reliability in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in DevOps or a related field with strong automation skills and experience with AWS, Jenkins, Java/J2EE, WebSphere, Git, Terraform, scripting, Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift. This is a full-time on-site role with Apexon's Austin campus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of DevOps, Build/Release/Software Configuration Management experience, incl. 2-3 years with cloud (AWS).
• Strong hands-on experience with Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, Java/J2EE, IBM WebSphere, Git, Terraform, scripting (Bash, Python, YAML), Docker, Kubernetes & OpenShift.
• Proven troubleshooting, automation, and production support experience, incl. on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and automated build and deployment processes.
• Manage source control, support environment configurations, troubleshoot WebSphere and deployment issues, and ensure release standards; collaborate across teams.
• Provide technical guidance on cloud infrastructure, platform operations, and service reliability.
• Support CI/CD pipelines for multi-release builds, testing, security scanning, packaging, and deployment workflows; automate and ensure repeatable releases.
• Maintain technical documentation, deployment records, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guidance.
• Provide timely resolution of build, deployment, and environment-related issues.
