Shrub Oak International School seeks a Development Coach to support staff in managing crises and safeguarding students with autism in a on-site setting. The role emphasizes coaching, collaboration across departments, and maintaining high safety standards for both students and staff.

The ideal candidate has TCIS training, strong written communication, and a commitment to ongoing training and professional development within a therapeutic school environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with the Autism population in a school setting is required.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience; boarding school experience preferred.
• TCIS certification or training is preferred, with strong crisis-prevention knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coaching staff to manage escalated student situations.
• Collaborate across departments to support student safety and wellbeing.
• Document incident reports using professional language and procedures.
• Lead post-crisis debriefings to identify improvements and training needs.
• Operate a company vehicle as required.
• Maintain training and certifications and participate in required meetings.
