Job summary

Shrub Oak International School seeks a Registered Nurse to oversee health and wellness for students in a therapeutic setting. On-site role requiring NYS RN licensure, pediatric experience, and swift crisis response capabilities.

Collaboration with psychiatric and clinical teams is essential to provide comprehensive care. You will manage medical caseloads, coordinate appointments, administer medications, and support a safe, health-focused campus environment for autistic youth across residential

Qualifications

• Current NYS Licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with children/adolescents.
• TCIS training or willingness to complete.
• BSN or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with students, families, and teams.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support health and wellness.
• Monitor student wellness, perform routine medical assessments, and respond to emergencies.
• Manage a medical caseload with guardians and providers.
• Schedule and coordinate medical appointments and track vitals.
• Transport students as needed in company vehicle.
• Provide health education to students and staff.
• Demonstrate cultural competence and adaptability.
• Maintain safety and compliance across the campus.
