Bender Companies is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician for the Carpentersville community. The role is full-time, on-site, with hours 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, on-call and weekends as needed. The ideal candidate has 1+ year in apartment maintenance, strong troubleshooting, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of apartment maintenance, facilities, or residential construction experience.
• Strong communication skills, professional interaction with residents, vendors and team members.
• Ability to work independently and follow directions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine property inspections and address maintenance issues proactively.
• Complete resident service requests and work orders promptly and professionally.
• Maintain property grounds, keep common areas clean and attractive.
• Assist in unit turnovers and make-readies, including painting, repairs and cleaning as needed.
• Support preventative maintenance to extend life of property systems and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes.
