This role emphasizes keeping animals clean, fed, safe, and stress-free during transit while adhering to IACUC, AAALAC standards, and local/federal requirements. Qualifications

• High school or GED required, or related field/experience.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Prior experience in veterinary or animal care or lab animal setting.
• Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Animal Science/Biology preferred.
• AALAS Certification (ALAT or LAT) preferred.
• Experience with professional driving, routing, or transport is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Operate a transport vehicle to pick up and deliver animals, data and/or supplies.
• Transport animals between CBSET facilities and customers (~75% of time).
• Handle and restrain multiple species of animals.
• Complete documentation for procurement and transportation per regulations.
• Clean and sanitize animal crates, transport van, housing and support areas.
• Perform routine vehicle checks and maintenance tasks.
• Assist with facilities maintenance projects.
• Observe animals for health, nutrition, welfare, and breeding.
• Replenish PPE stations as needed.
• Support, as needed, other department staff.
