Job summary

Talbert, Bright & Ellington, LLC. (TBE) is a full-service aviation engineering firm seeking a Resident Project Representative II to support airfield and landside projects at airports across the region. The role is based in Charlotte, NC.

The on-site representative will monitor construction, prepare reports, coordinate meetings with airport staff and contractors, and review pay applications and RFIs. Strong civil construction background and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of field inspection experience or equivalent with an engineering-related degree
• Associate degree with 5+ years experience OR Bachelor's with 2+ years
• Ability to interpret engineering plans, specs, and construction documents; strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary on-site representative for the construction phase.
• Monitor and document daily construction activities for contract compliance.
• Prepare daily reports, field notes, photos, and quantity tracking.
• Coordinate and participate in construction meetings with airport staff, contractors, and designers.
• Review contractor pay applications, submittals, and RFIs.
• Verify quality control, safety, and project timelines.
• Assist with materials testing coordination and tracking.
• Communicate field observations clearly to the design team and airport staff.
• Support closeout with punch lists, inspections, and record drawings.
