Job summary

Edison Scientific seeks a Forward Deployed AI Engineer to embed with leading pharma/biotech R&D groups. You will own integrations, reliability, and value delivery, translating scientific workflows into production solutions and driving cross-functional impact.

You will work closely with scientists and engineers, building robust AI-enabled workflows, optimizing performance, and expanding Edison’s platform in fast-paced, cutting-edge environments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience with production-grade software.
• Strong proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience deploying LLM-powered or agentic AI systems in production.
• Experience with prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, model evaluation, and orchestration.
• Able to reason about systems architecture and write clean production code.
• Willingness to travel 20–40% and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Translate scientific and operational requirements into a delivery roadmap from discovery to production.
• Embed with R&D teams and own value delivery for partners.
• Map customer landscapes to identify high-leverage AI opportunities.
• Design, implement, and iterate production-ready integrations end-to-end.
• Troubleshoot real-time issues and be the go-to technical contact for AI in the client org.
• Capture pain points and feedback to shape product capabilities.
