Edison Scientific, Inc. is seeking a Forward Deployed AI Engineer who will be embedded with leading scientific R&D organizations across pharma and biotech, taking full ownership of how Edison's AI agents create value in their environment.

You will build relationships with scientists and research leaders, own integrations end-to-end, and feed insights back to product and engineering teams to shape the roadmap. You will travel 20-40% as needed, working on-site to deliver impactful solutions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software engineering, shipping production-grade software in fast-paced or ambiguous environments.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying LLM-powered or agentic AI systems in production, including prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, model evaluation, and orchestration frameworks.
• AI fluency: reason about systems architecture, debug infrastructure, and write production code independently.

Responsibilities

• Translate complex scientific and operational requirements into a delivery roadmap from discovery to production.
• Embed with R&D teams, understand their workflows, and drive value creation for partners.
• Map scientific/operational landscape to identify AI leverage points beyond requested help.
• Design, implement, and iterate on production-ready integrations end-to-end.
• Troubleshoot real-time issues, ensure reliability, and be the go-to technical contact for AI inside the client org.
• Capture pain points and work with internal teams to shape future capabilities.
• Partner with GTM and account teams to scope engagements and define success metrics.
