Job summary

Precision Fuzing and Sensors in Middletown, CT is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to qualify suppliers, monitor performance, and document first article inspections. The role requires root cause analysis, supplier audits, and driving corrective actions to prevent defects.

You will travel up to 25% to supplier sites, maintain supplier ratings, and ensure ISO AS9100 compliance. A related engineering degree and 5+ years in aerospace supplier quality are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• Broad knowledge of electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering.
• Thorough understanding of ISO 9000/AS9100 regulations preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience in Supplier Quality and Aerospace.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the supplier rating system and supplier approvals.
• Perform supplier qualifications and first article inspections.
• Conduct audits and drive corrective actions with suppliers.
• Coordinate supplier manufacturing readiness reviews.
• Lead multiple improvement projects and issue resolution with suppliers.
• Travel up to 25% to supplier sites; on-site work at Middletown facility.
