Job summary

Acute Care & Emergency Department Clinical Supervisor in Great Falls, MT, is a full-time, on-site leadership role overseeing Med/Surg and ED units. The position reports to the Department Director and focuses on nursing education, performance evaluations, and quality initiatives to enhance patient care.

Responsibilities include scheduling, huddles, and compliance tracking, with hands-on bedside coverage during peak times.

Qualifications

• Education: BSN from accredited nursing program.
• RN license in Montana or immediate eligibility to obtain.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC certifications (required or must obtain within 6 months of hire)
• Minimum of 7 years of hands-on RN clinical experience within Medical-Surgical, Acute Care, or Emergency Department settings.
• Core leadership competencies including clinical decision-making, communication, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations across Acute Care (Med/Surg) and Emergency Departments in collaboration with the Department Director.
• Drive staff development, competencies, onboarding, education events, and annual evaluations.
• Manage scheduling, timecard edits, interviewing, quality data collection, incident reporting, sick logs, and daily huddles.
• Provide hands-on bedside support during high census or acuity surges across Med/Surg, Pediatric, Geriatric, and ED.
• Direct Charge Nurses, RNs, LPNs, CNAs, Ward Clerks, and Technicians while coordinating with House Supervisors, Physicians, and C-Suite leadership.
