Professional Recruiting Consultants, Inc. has partnered with a growing private construction firm in Stockbridge, GA to hire an Accounting Manager. You will lead a three-person team, own the month-end close, and drive project accounting in a fast-paced, owner-led environment.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of accounting experience, strong QuickBooks Online skills, and prior staff supervision. Construction experience is strongly preferred, with a hands-on, process-improving mindset.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong QuickBooks Online experience required.
• Prior experience supervising or leading accounting staff.
• Strong understanding of AP, AR, reconciliations, GL, cash flow and financial reporting.
• Construction, specialty contracting, installation or project/job-cost accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Highly tech-savvy and comfortable adopting new software and systems.
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead and oversee day-to-day accounting operations and a three-person accounting team.
• Manage month-end close, general ledger and account reconciliations.
• Oversee AP, AR, collections and customer billing.
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reporting.
• Monitor cash flow and prepare short-term cash-flow forecasts.
• Strengthen job-costing and project-accounting processes.
• Develop and maintain appropriate accounting controls.
• Support budgeting and forecasting with the owner.
• Work closely with project managers and project coordinators.
• Identify opportunities to automate, streamline and improve accounting processes.
• Coordinate with outside CPA and other financial partners.
