Job summary

Thales Academy in Raleigh, NC is seeking an Accountant to join the finance team at the Thales Management office. This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer and focuses on maintaining accurate financial operations and ensuring compliance across processes.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Accounting, 3–5 years of experience, and strong Excel skills. Experience with Blackbaud is a plus. This is not a remote role and offers competitive benefits and a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Accounting is required.
• 3–5 years of work experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel; strong spreadsheet skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day accounts payable and cash receipts processes.
• Conduct month-end and year-end closures and prepare journal entries and financial statements.
• Coordinate and manage the annual budget process and prepare monthly budget reporting.
• Develop and maintain appropriate and effective accounting controls.
• Apply a continuous improvement mindset to identify and implement process efficiencies.
