Alpha reimagines the school day around faster learning and mentorship. This full-time, on-site Academic Coach role is at a Santa Monica campus, guiding 6-year-olds through app-based core learning, diagnosing gaps, and delivering targeted sequences from launch to closing.

Qualifications

• 3+ years working directly with children ages 4-9 in teaching, coaching, tutoring, camps or similar settings.
• At least 2 years teaching reading in grades K-3 within the last 5 years.
• Completed structured-literacy training or a relevant master's degree.

Responsibilities

• Get K-3 students to daily learning goals and close reading gaps.
• Lead short literacy sessions with small groups, diagnose gaps and teach targeted sequences.
• Maintain morning launch, workshops, and campus routines for six-year-olds.
• Track weekly app goals with data and communicate progress to families.
• Remain with students from launch to closing and adapt plans as needed.
