Job summary

Alpha is hiring a Learning Coach to guide K-3 students through app-based core learning, diagnose reading gaps, and deliver targeted 15-minute sequences to close them.

You will run short literacy sessions for 2–4 students, maintain daily goals, and stay with students through lunch and closing, using data to name gaps for weekly parent updates. On-site, full-time role with relocation support.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years working with children aged 4-9 in teaching, coaching, tutoring, camps or related settings.
• At least 2 years of experience teaching reading in grades K-3 within the last 5 years.
• Completed structured-literacy training (LETRS, IMSE, Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, Fundations, UFLI, CERI, Neuhaus, SIPPS, etc.) or a masters in reading or literacy.
• Bachelor's degree required; teaching certificate not mandatory.
• Comfortable guiding students through app-based learning for most of the day and 10% reading sessions.

Responsibilities

• Guide K-3 students through app-based core learning, diagnose gaps, and unblock with targeted questions.
• Lead short structured-literacy sessions for 2–4 students and deliver designed sequences.
• Run morning launch, life-skills workshops, and check-chart activities to maintain daily momentum.
• Drive students toward weekly app goals using currency, leaderboards, and gamification.
• Remain with students through lunch, recess, and closing, planning for each child's next steps.
