Job summary

Saint Cyr Partners is seeking a Shift Supervisor for our Batavia, IL chemical processing facility on a new 3rd shift. The role oversees a dozen operators across multiple process areas from the floor and control room, with emphasis on safety and continuous throughput.

You will set batch schedules, verify raw material inventory, and coordinate inbound tanker unloads while documenting shifts and deviations. Strong leadership and hands-on experience in continuous processing are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or equivalent with leadership experience.
• Experience in continuous-process chemical environments is required.
• PSM exposure is strongly preferred.
• Shift leadership experience in chemical manufacturing is essential.
• Experience with automated process controls is a plus.
• Comfortable splitting time between the floor and the desk.

Responsibilities

• Direct a crew of operators across multiple process areas.
• Anticipate issues and authorize corrective actions when needed.
• Set batch schedules and coordinate material handling.
• Monitor systems from the control room and enforce standards.
• Document shifts, batch traces, and deviations.
• Plan manual work and ensure safety and housekeeping.
