Job summary

Confidential Chemical Producer in Batavia, IL is seeking a Shift Supervisor for a brand-new 3rd shift on a continuous chemical processing line. You will supervise a dozen operators, coordinate batch schedules, and stay on the floor most of the shift while also handling planning and reporting from the control room.

The role requires a chemical engineering or related degree (or 5+ years of leadership in chemical processing), experience with continuous processes, and strong decision-making on the

Qualifications

Degree in a chemical field or equivalent hands-on leadership experience.
Experience leading operators in continuous chemical processing.
PSM exposure is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

Direct a crew of roughly a dozen operators across process areas.
Anticipate reaction issues and deviations; make on-the-spot decisions.
Set batch schedules and coordinate inbound tanker unloads.
Monitor processes from the control room and enforce standards.
Document shifts, batch traceability, and deviations.
Plan manual work like material loading and QC sampling.
Own safety, housekeeping and operating standards for the shift.
