Job summary
Republic Services is seeking a Driver Helper to ride along with the Driver on designated residential routes in West Grove, PA. The Helper assists with loading waste, directing the Driver from the ground, and keeping equipment and work areas clean and safe.
The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and courteous customer interactions as part of daily waste removal operations. This position supports productivity standards and follows all safety policies.
Qualifications
- Ability to assist the Driver with loading and unloading waste.
- Strong situational awareness and safety mindset on routes.
- Ability to communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers and teammates.
Responsibilities
- Ride on the vehicle to assist the Driver on a designated residential route.
- Operate packing mechanism and loading levers for waste handling.
- Help keep the packer blade, truck and work area clean and orderly.
- Perform basic pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections and report safety issues.
- Interact courteously with customers and dispatchers to ensure timely service.
- Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and maintain productivity standards.
- Assist with spill cleanup following safety policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
